Lighthouse appeal

Typical box of lighthouses, contents may vary
Since its launch, the “Lighthouse Appeal” has raised hundreds of pounds towards the restoration of the Medway Queen. Many people, members and non-members of the society, have contributed by buying sets of lighthouses for their own use or for onward sale to others. A number of companies sell them at reception desks or over the counter. The lighthouses are colourful miniatures, about 3 inches (75mm) high, and come boxed in sets of 12 (contents/design may vary to what is shwon above). They vary in shape, detail and colour to make an interesting display in any context. They can be used in many ways including as ornaments or presents and we even know of one enterprising purchaser who used them as Christmas tree decorations!
You can purchase these miniatures for your own use or to sell on to other people in return for a minimum donation of £2 per item. A counter display card approximately A5 size is available to ensure professional presentation on any reception desk, counter or exhibition stand. The recent award of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund has made the need for this and our other fundraising schemes even more pressing; could YOU sell these miniatures on our behalf as a “charity collection”?
All enquires and orders for lighthouses should be addressed to Richard Halton and not sent to any other society contact. If they are for your own use please enclose a cheque for £24 for a set of 12 lighthouses (payable to R. Halton please). If you want to sell them on the society’s behalf you can still pay “up front” or we will supply them on sale or return.
