Medway Queen - Unveiling of the Keel Ceremony

On Saturday 6th June (65th Anniversary of D-Day) the newly constructed keel was officially unveilled to the public in an event at the Albion Dockyard in the presence of members of the Medway Queen Preservation Society, the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of Bristol and other digneteries.

Medway Queen - Contract Signing Ceremony

On Friday 3rd October history was made when the first contract for a fully riveted hull to be built in Britain for 50 years was signed by John Kempton (MQPS) and David Abels (Abels Shipbuilders, Bristol).
