completion fund

Those who attended the 2013 Annual General Meeting will know that we need to raise money to complete the restoration of the Medway Queen. The hull build, largely funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is now complete.

Albion Dock has built the first fully riveted ship to be commissioned for over 50 years within budget. The job took longer than anticipated, and we are grateful for the Heritage Lottery Fund for allowing their grant to be held for an extra year.
Our current aim in fundraising is to raise £1,000,000 to go towards stage one of the re-fit of the Medway Queen, please be aware that we will need a lot more that the initial £1,000,000 aim to completely re-fit the PS Medway Queen.

The money will go to essential materials and tools needed for the re-fit, as well as pay for a small group of professionals to work on the ship.
