Saturday December 9th - Carol Service
2023 Carol Service on board Medway Queen (4.00pm) and close of season. 2024 CENTENARY YEAR 2024
Normal Saturday opening will commence on 17th February until 7th December There will be a programme of special "centenary" events in April - May including:
Saturday 16th March: An evening of Irish music Sunday 21st April: memorial service in Rochester Cathedral. Tuesday 23rd April: (centenary of Medway Queen’s launch) Further memorial events at the ship. (Participation on board is likely to be restricted to invitees, but there will be provision for spectators on the quayside and in the Medway Queen Visitor Centre.) Saturday April 27th April: Members' Day. Further celebrations are planned with involvement of the armed forces and the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships. The general public are also welcome. Followed by an evening of 1940's jazz music. Make a note in your diary and we will hope to see you there
or at some other time during our centenary year. Picture below is the restored "Medway Queen" pub sign which is now on show at the Visitor Centre: The sign was acquired for display at the visitor centre when the pub closed and has been carefully restored by Peter Outen.

Notes for Visitors:
Disabled access is limited and access to the ship depends on the tides. It may also occasionally be necessary to close the ship to visitors because of the restoration work.

The Medway Queen’s visitor centre showcases the history of the ship to enhance your admission to and support of the vessel’s renovation, through colour wall boards and wall mounted screens showing videos and moving images.
Artefacts and ephemera from the Medway Queen's long career are on display. It's a great place to start your journey, to learn about the vessel and all aspects of her service in Kent, at war and on the Isle of Wight.
