PS Medway Queen was a restaurant and nightclub on the Isle of Wight from May 14th 1966 to 1974. While the formal history has been known and published in previous books; this time we are concentrating on the human side of the story in the words of those who were there. Musicians, staff, management and visitors have all contributed memories and photographs.

The book has 64 A5 pages and is packed with photographs, many not previously published. Mark Ridett, son of the owner at that time, helped enormously and wrote the Forward. The book also contains a very brief history of the ship before her time on the Island to set the scene and an outline of her preservation and restoration. Topics that are covered in far more detail in other publications available through the society’s website.
