The Medway Queen Visitor Centre showcases the history of the ship through colour wall boards and wall mounted screens showing videos and moving images. Artefacts and ephemera from the Medway Queen's long career are on display. It's a great place to come and learn about the vessel and all aspects of her service in Kent, at war and on the Isle of Wight. .
All admissions are via the Visitor Centre
Opening hours are 11am to 4pm (last admission strictly 3pm) on Saturdays until December 17th. Annual ticket and “save a soldier” prices
£5.00 per person, children under 16 £3.00. Family (two adults and children) £13.00. Terms and conditions apply. Annual tickets are non-transferable and are valid for 12 months from the date of first visit. Additional soldiers can be rescued from “the beach” at £2-50 per soldier.
Please be aware that disabled access is limited and access to the ship depends on the tides. It may also occasionally be necessary to close the ship to visitors because of the restoration work. Group bookings can be accommodated at weekends and possibly on other days. Book in advance by calling the office on the number above. The ship and Visitor Centre also provide facilities for private functions on board; Birthday and Anniversary parties, etc. from Easter onwards. Facilities for school parties are being developed with an education pack and an information trail for the children.
