The Medway Queen Preservation Society, a registered charity has been around since 1985 and has continually been recruiting members to support the Medway Queen. As a member of the Medway Queen Preservation Society you will be helping towards the continued existence of this important vessel in the UK.
Members are an important part of this project, we try to keep close bonds with our members and do all we can to make sure you are happy with what you are getting from us. Without members we wouldn't be where we are now, so we value each and every person who chooses to support us. |

Current pricing for a year of membership is as follows: - Ordinary - £25 - Concession - £15 (over 65 or receiving state benefits) - Family - £30 - Life Membership - £350 If you live outside of the UK please add a further £6 towards postage costs. Memberships are renewable on the 1st July annually |

Members receive a newsletter, 'Full Ahead', with news of what is happening and articles written exclusively for the newsletter. They have the opportunity to volunteer and work for this historic ship in a variety of roles.

Members of the Medway Queen Preservation Society have spent many years raising funds to restore the Medway Queen to full operational use again. We have had the hull rebuilt with the aid of the Heritage Lottery Fund and the European Regional Development Fund. Now we need to fit out the ship and re-commision the machinery. Every penny helps to finish her restoration and there are many ways to help.

volunteeringWe rely heavily on volunteers and are always looking for help from people with skills in electrical, mechanical, welding, carpentry, plumbing, painting and more. The Visitor Centre is open to the public and we hold social events for members. So we are also looking for extra hands there, we need people capable of planning events or who have the ability to sell tickets and souvenirs or to guide visitors.
