MEDWAY QUEEN

PIER ACTIVITY ARCADE
Picture
Picture
Welcome to our "Pier Arcade" activities page.  Our aim is to provide a little entertainment while sneaking in a bit of information on our ship, Medway Queen.

This page is for amusement only - as with most amusement arcades on piers, or anywhere else, you have no chance of winning worthwhile prizes! However, if you can make a good job of a colouring sheet or writing challenge we'll try to find room for it on the website.
Some items can be downloaded as files which you can then look at on line or print off onto paper, as you wish.
We'll start with jigsaw puzzles. Click on the link.
You can pick the puzzle you want to do and set the number of pieces as you like.

Next there's a crossword puzzle. It has been on our website for a while and we have printed copies available at Gillingham Pier. Now you can download and print your own copy.

COLOURING SHEETS
How good are you at colouring? Here are two pictures of PS Medway Queen which you can download and colour in. If you make a good job of it scan it to a JPG file, or get someone to do it for you, and send it to us. We'll display some here on the website. Make sure you ask a grown up and that they are happy for your picture and name to be shown here. Click on the picture to download it for printing.

WRITER'S CHALLENGE

Can you write a story about Medway Queen maybe you know somebody who worked on board or who travelled regularly. Perhaps a relative served on board during the war. If not, can you image what it would be like sailing across the estuary to Southend with it's long pier or hunting mines in the North Sea during the war.

Write a short story in your own very best handwriting or typed if you can and send it to press@medwayqueen.co.uk . We'll show it on the website and, if it's really good, publish it in our members' magazine when space permits.

If writing a story doesn't appeal to you, how about a poem?
