Railway Wagons - N Gauge​

Over the years the “wagon project“ has raised thousands of pounds towards the restoration costs. The scheme has been running for about 20 years and the usual pattern is now a model for N in August/September in time for the TINGS exhibition. Previous issues have sold out very quickly so if you are interested in obtaining any of these models don’t delay! ​Although the New Medway Steam Packet Co. did not have its own private owner wagons it is entirely believable that a steam ship operator would run such wagons to carry coal and other commodities.
New for 2024
In Medway Queen's centenary year, “Ailsa” was an obvious choice for a new promotional wagon model. The N gauge version based on a Dapol 20T mineral wagon is now available. As usual there are two body colours (green and bauxite), and the lettering is white with black shading. ​
 Previous issues still available mail order or in person from the Medway Queen Visitor Centre when it is open.
In 2023 a 20T mineral wagon was produced in two body colours (grey or red), with white lettering,. The wagon bore a fictional General Steam Navigation livery. The earlier 2022 model was a Dapol 7-plank GSN open wagon with a coal load. Green and black body colours available. GSN worked with, and later owned, the New Medway Steam Packet Co. and the wagons are a collaborative venture in N Gauge with the General Steam Navigation Locomotive Restoration Society.
