ACTIVITY TWO - WRITER'S CHALLENGE

Can you write a short story about Medway Queen? Maybe you know somebody who worked on board or who travelled regularly. Perhaps a relative served on board during the war. If not, can you imagine what it would be like sailing across the Thames Estuary to Southend with it's long pier or to be hunting mines in the North Sea during the war.
Write a short story in your own very best handwriting, or typed if you can, and send it to press@medwayqueen.co.uk. We'll show it on the website and, if it's really good, publish it in our members' magazine when space permits.
If writing a story doesn't appeal to you, how about a poem?
