Onboard Toilets
Left to right. Completed Disabled (with baby changing table), Ladies and Gents toilets.
The project is nearing completion. The onboard toilets are complete with the waste water and macerated solids being stored onboard in sealed tanks. Short term they will be emptied by professional sludge gulper. Longer term plan is to install a larger onshore holding tank. Having a larger holding tank reduces the number of visits and therefore cost of emptying it.
This project was originally estimated at around £28,000. It has been fully funded by donations. Due to careful purchasing, and continual research this is projected is currently at £21,000.
In addition to coming in under the original estimate the project is on target for completion in early 2024. The Medway Queen Preservation Society would like to express their sincere thanks to donations received from members and from the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society. This has enabled the project to be fully funded from the donations and therefore zero cost to the Medway Queen Preservation Society.
This project is fully funded.
