Medway Queen's Christmas Market

With the Covid restrictions still active, and Kent especially badly hit, PS Medway Queen remains closed to visitors and there could not possibly be a Fun Food and Craft event - or anything similar - this year.

Christmas is still approaching, and we all need to get the Christmas shopping done, so we have put our thinking caps on and come up with a "Christmas Market" online. The various goodies on offer come from our online shop or from Medway Queen - West and the links in the "Market" will take you to the appropriate website pages.

PS Medway Queen has two screen appearances coming up next week.

On Tuesday 10th November she'll be included in National Historic Ships virtual awards ceremony and on Thursday 12th we are told she'll be on the Antiques Road Trip on BBC 1 at 4.30pm.

The event will be introduced by historian and TV presenter Dan Snow, and round the world sailor and social campaigner Tracy Edwards MBE will be announcing the winners of our Photo Competition. Learn who this year's winners are for the Photography Competition, Marsh Volunteer Awards, Flagship of the Year, and Martyn Heighton Award for Excellence in Maritime Conservation, plus celebrate the graduation of our SHTP2 ship-keeping trainees. You'll also get a special curator's tour of HMS Belfast and a preview into some of the conservation work taking place while the ship is closed.

Here we go again! Once again Medway Queen is closed to visitors due to Covid-19 restrictions. Under the new regulations, effective from Thursday, we are unable to welcome visitors to our Medway Queen Visitor Centre and the ship tours. We will re-open as soon as it is permitted and safe to do so. That could be for Saturdays in December but the situation is fluid so please check the website before visiting. The workshops, too, have closed but a watching eye will be kept on the ship and shore facilities. Post and phone etc. will be checked when possible.
