We held our Carol Concert on board in the afternoon of Saturday 17th December. The Saturday volunteers had cleared snow and ice to make safe access to the ship possible and had conducted the usual ship tours earlier in the day. Despite the event being organised at very short notice a reasonable attendance was generated. Over 25 people including Medway Mayor, Cllr. Jan Aldous and her husband, Tony, and retired Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Kent Anne West. Cllr Pat Cooper, one of the council representatives on our committee also came along. The service was conducted by Father Gary Jenkins and seasonal refreshments were provided.
 
Our thanks to Pam and her team for another successful pilot, demonstrating the potential for events on board PS Medway Queen. It was a very long day and hard work clearing the ice and snow. Those attending were all complimentary as they left the ship after the service. 

​Holly Davis, aged 10, and her brother James, aged 6, from Sittingbourne were presented with their Wheels of Time Bronze Awards for visiting ten participating heritage attractions on Saturday 10th December. Holly chose the Medway Queen Visitor Centre for the presentation of her award.

They also enjoyed a tour around the ship with its Christmas decorations with the friendly Saturday Team to answer questions.

Our hard-working Saturday Team have decided to put on a Carol Concert just before Christmas. Another chance for you to see the restoration work done over the years by our volunteers and on the slipway at Ramsgate.

Why not make an afternoon of it? Come for a tour earlier in the afternoon, and stay on for the concert to round off your visit.
