When you visit Medway Queen on Saturdays during the Heritage Open Days period you'll see the fantastic job that our volunteers have done on the ship's aft saloon. It has taken a while but they started with a very blank "canvas" and we have fought to keep costs to a minimum. That trade off means the job takes longer of course.
This has been achieved alongside rebuilding the deck houses that protect the access companionways, carrying out routine maintenance, battling to seal the promenade deck and numerous other jobs.
It is a tremendous result so, if you are able to visit, come along and see for yourselves. The Medway Queen Visitor Centre and shop will be open (with some Covid restrictions) and the shop has restocked with new souvenirs, the "Dunkirk" railway wagons and this year's "Memories of Dunkirk" book.
